Fibershed Map

We are mapping out the existing textile industry in PA including fiber farmers, spinners, weavers and cut and sew facilities. The goal of this map is to help deepen the understanding of the fiber and textile supply change throughout the state and provide ease for local procurement. Additionally, retailers can utilize this tool to help make locally made clothing and textiles more accessible to consumers.

The mapping project will also identify gaps in the supply chain, such as processing. These gaps will be addressed through future projects, including catalyzing social enterprises to empower rural and urban communities. This is an ongoing project that we continuously update with the help of volunteers.
