Are you passionate about sustainability, circular fashion, and supporting local economies? Join the PA Fibershed Ambassador Program and become a key advocate for building a sustainable textile economy right here in Pennsylvania!

As a PA Fibershed University Ambassador, you’ll have the opportunity to represent our mission on your campus and in your community. You’ll help raise awareness about Pennsylvania’s local fiber supply chain, advocate for sustainable and ethical textile practices, and lead events that inspire positive change.

Our Ambassadors are leaders who spark meaningful conversations, host events, and promote awareness around local fiber supply chains, sustainable fashion, and circular textiles. By sharing our mission, you become part of the movement to strengthen and grow Pennsylvania’s local fiber and textile economy

    • Stay informed about policy updates affecting textiles, garment workers, and sustainability.

    • Quarterly ambassador calls for networking and information sharing with other ambassadors across the state.

    • Ambassador Kit with tools and materials to succeed, including fiber samples, yarn, and workshop supplies.

    • Access to the Ambassador Hub, where you can connect with fellow ambassadors and share resources.

    • Ambassador training to equip you with the knowledge and skills to lead effectively.

  • Ambassadors will be expected to:

    • Regularly share PA Fibershed events and social media content  that are relevant to your local area.

    • Embody and promote Fibershed values in all activities and interactions.

    • Host 3-5 events per year to raise awareness and engage your community.

    • Contribute ideas for the holiday gift guide and other PA Fibershed initiatives.

    • Forge and nurture relationships with the local fiber community.

    • Share policy updates with your community.

    • Fundraise to support both your ambassador program and PA Fibershed’s initiatives.

    • Volunteer for at least one PA Fibershed event outside of your regular ambassador duties.

    • Students enrolled in any undergraduate or graduate program at a Pennsylvania college or university.

    • Students who can commit to 2-4 hours per week and a one-year term as an ambassador.

    • Students with an interest in sustainability, circularity, and local fiber economies

      All majors are welcome!

      Whether you're studying fashion, environmental science, engineering, marketing, textiles, or anything in between, your unique perspective and skills are valuable to our mission.

  • We are currently piloting this program at Temple, Drexel, and Jefferson Universities. If you are interested in applying but are not attending one of these schools, please submit an application, and you will be added to the waitlist for Fall 2026.

  • The deadline to apply for the Fall 2025 semester is June 30, 2025.
