Join us for a celebration of Pennsylvania's fiber and textile community and heritage!
This one-day event will bring together fiber producers, artisans, textile businesses, artists, educators, and fiber enthusiasts to showcase the incredible range of materials, products, and skills being cultivated across the Commonwealth.
Philly Fiber Fest will be held at a particularly meaningful site in Philadelphia's textile history. For nearly 50 years, this location was home to the country's first textile school, making it a fitting place to celebrate Pennsylvania's deep fiber and textile heritage while looking toward the future of the industry. Today, we're bringing that history back into the conversation by gathering the people who are helping build a new, more connected regional fiber economy.
The event will feature:
30+ highly curated vendors featuring everything from raw fiber, yarn, roving, and natural dyes to handcrafted apparel, home goods, fiber art, and unique gifts.
A fiber art exhibition showcasing the creativity and craftsmanship of our regional fiber community.
Demonstrations throughout the day highlighting traditional and contemporary fiber and textile techniques.
Optional paid workshops led by regional experts.
A Kids' Corner with hands-on fiber crafts, creative activities, and opportunities to explore natural materials.
A sensory-friendly space where visitors can explore the calming textures of natural fibers.
A silent auction benefiting PA Fibershed's work to build a more connected, regenerative, and regionally rooted fiber and textile economy.
Community gathering and networking opportunities to connect with the people growing, making, designing, teaching, and working with fiber across Pennsylvania.
Come shop, learn, make, connect and celebrate where Pennsylvania's textile past meets its future.
