University Ambassador Program
The PA Fibershed Ambassador Program seeks to build a coalition of next-generation leaders dedicated to the stewardship of Pennsylvania’s natural resources and the transition to a regenerative, circular economy. By engaging student ambassadors, the program offers participants the chance to gain real-world experience in community-building, outreach, and program management.
Ambassadors consist of groups of students from diverse majors who collaborate to bring unique perspectives to the fibers and textiles space. These majors may include, but are not limited to, fashion design, merchandising, environmental science, marketing, business, product design, material science, engineering, agricultural management, and more.
PA Fibershed Ambassadors are empowered to lead campus initiatives such as clothing swaps, data-driven textile waste collection, workshops, tabling events, discussion panels, and fundraising efforts. These activities aim to raise awareness, promote sustainable practices, and extend PA Fibershed's reach.
In addition to broadening PA Fibershed’s impact through volunteer engagement, the program serves as a pilot for larger-scale initiatives, providing valuable insights into the needs and perspectives of the younger generation in driving environmental change.
By aligning their passion with action, PA Fibershed Ambassadors will emerge as future leaders in sustainable and regenerative practices.
This program is open to students on college and university campuses.
