About the Presenter

Dana Jensen

Ms. Dana Jensen earned a Bachelor of Science 1996 from Colorado State University in Biological Science. Shortly after, she earned a two-year degree in teaching Secondary Science from the Metropolitan State College of Denver and an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Colorado State University. She has been a professional science educator since 1999. From Fall 2020 until 2022 she taught as an adjunct professor at Jefferson University in the Masters of Sustainable Design program. During her 24-year tenure, she has taught Environmental Science at all levels and has led Sustainability efforts in numerous K-12 institutions. She has led several trips with middle and high schoolers to restore the natural world. Her most recent trip took her and 18 high school students to restore Staghorn coral in the coral reefs off the coast of Florida.
