Meet The Makers

The Clothing & Textile Coalition presents the Meet The Makers Event. Come and meet some of the local makers of your clothing and learn where your clothing comes from. Be able to learn and experience hands on how fibers are grown, turned into fiber, woven into fabric and then printed on.

Speakers Included:

  • Heidi Barr, The Kitchen Garden Textiles and Co-Founder of the PA Flax Project. Heidi has been growing flax for linen and will share about her process.

  • Janell Wysock, Janelle is an incredible weaver utilizing remnants to create beautiful zero waste designs, she will share about the weaving process.

  • Dave and Heidi Cook, Tuscarora Mills, natural fiber fabric made in the USA. They will share the process of how fabric is made in a Pennsylvania weaving mill

  • Nicole and Jordan Hadad, co-founders of Lobo Mau, they will share about their printing process

  • Kim ,Grant Blvd, Kim will talk about her design process (patternmaking, cut and sew) and utilizing pre existing materials
