PA Fibershed Stewardship Course (Digital Certification)

The PA Fibershed Stewardship Certification Course is an online certification program designed to equip learners with the knowledge and tools to actively support a regenerative, local textile economy. Accessible from anywhere, this self-paced digital course introduces participants to Pennsylvania’s fiber systems — from where fiber originates to the artisans, designers, and mills that transform it.

Through digital learning modules, videos, interviews and business highlights, participants will explore topics such as Pennsylvania’s rich textile history, sustainable fiber production, natural dyeing, regional supply chains, and circular design. Each lesson connects fiber to fabric within the unique context of Pennsylvania’s Fibershed.

Upon completion, participants earn the title of PA Fibershed Steward, joining a growing network of individuals dedicated to rebuilding regional textile systems, reducing environmental impact, and championing local, regenerative economies.
