Join PA Fibershed and the Fibershed Affiliate Network on February 9th at 3:00 PM for a Bast Fiber discussion featuring Nica Rabinowitz from Northern California Fibershed who will discuss expanding the Climate Beneficial Verification program to bast fibers.
Nica will share an overview of Fibershed’s Climate Beneficial Verified (CBV) program, which supports farmers in adopting carbon-farming practices that deliver measurable climate, biodiversity, and community benefits. The conversation will focus on plans to expand CBV criteria and support to bast fibers such as flax and hemp, including addressing key challenges in domestic processing, supply-chain transparency, and cooperative fiber aggregation.
