“As a farmer, it’s not always easy to see where your fiber ends up or who you can work with locally. Through PA Fibershed, I’ve been able to connect directly with mills, designers, and other producers who are interested in regional sourcing.
The membership helped me build relationships, learn more about processing options, and better understand how to position my fiber in the marketplace. It’s not just about selling, it’s about being part of a system that values transparency, land stewardship, and local economies.”
“As a farmer, I joined to feel more connected to where my fiber goes.”
“I was looking for ways to source locally and create more intentionally, but I didn’t know where to start”
Using the Circle member hub I’ve been able to connect with farmers, mills, and other designers who are all working toward similar goals.
The community has opened up opportunities to collaborate, share my work, and learn from others navigating the same challenges. It’s helped me move from working in isolation to being part of a network that supports and inspires my practice.
“Running a mill or fiber-based business can feel siloed, especially when trying to connect with regional partners.”
“Joining PA Fibershed has helped us increase visibility and build meaningful relationships with farmers, designers, and organizations across the state.”
“I wanted to learn more than what I was getting in the classroom.”
“Being part of the community helped me connect with professionals, attend events, and see actual pathways into the industry. It made what I was learning feel applicable to the real world and gave me a clearer sense of where I could go next.”
