What PA Fibershed Members are saying

“As a farmer, it’s not always easy to see where your fiber ends up or who you can work with locally. Through PA Fibershed, I’ve been able to connect directly with mills, designers, and other producers who are interested in regional sourcing.”

— Joe Smith, Farmer

“The membership helped me build relationships, learn more about processing options, and better understand how to position my fiber in the marketplace. It’s not just about selling, it’s about being part of a system that values transparency, land stewardship, and local economies.”

— Sally McCloud, Shepard

“Using the member hub I’ve been able to connect with farmers, mills, and other designers who are all working toward similar goals.

The community has opened up opportunities to collaborate, share my work, and learn from others navigating the same challenges. It’s helped me move from working in isolation to being part of a network that supports and inspires my practice.”

— Leo Black, Designer

“Running a mill or fiber-based business can feel siloed, especially when trying to connect with regional partners.”

— Sally McCloud, Shepard

“I was looking for ways to source locally and create more intentionally, but I didn’t know where to start”

— Joelle, Maker

“Joining PA Fibershed has helped us increase visibility and build meaningful relationships with farmers, designers, and organizations across the state.”

— Sam P. , Spinner

“Being part of this community helped me connect with professionals, attend events, and see actual pathways into the industry. It made what I was learning feel applicable to the real world and gave me a much clearer sense of where I could go next.”

Ella C. , Student

“I wanted to learn more than what I was getting in the classroom.”
