Local Yarns Project

With microgrant funds provided by Fibershed, we were able to explore the cost of yarn made locally in PA. We created a template that farmers can use for an estimate cost projection of their yarn.

Additionally, we have put together a local yarn resource list and partnered with the Philadelphia Guild of Handweavers to host a workshop where participants learned about the importance of supporting our local fiber economy while experimenting with locally made yarns.
